Training Program

Currently I am developing a multimedia training program focused at teaching library staff important skills for modern communication and literacies. While it will of course cover technical aspects of video, image, and audio production this will be integrated with quality — for example, not merely how to create a video, but how to create an impactful video. It will also offer suggestions and instructions on how to teach through both short and long media consultations.

The initial target audience is my staff at the University of Minnesota Libraries, however, I hope that the program I am creating will have a reach extending beyond that. I want to empower partners and colleagues on campus and other libraries to use technology in exciting ways for promotion of teaching, learning, and scholarship. As new modes of communication develop I hope that this training program also will grow.
